Two Headed Fali Doll, Cameroon

1 200

Former Fali Ham Pilu engagement doll, consisting of two wooden bodies joined together and surmounted by two heads, entirely covered with pearl necklaces of various colors and shapes. The small arms are made of bones, while the heads wear hair in strings adorned with pearls. Around the waist are a multitude of small leather reliquary pockets.
This type of doll was offered by the groom and the young woman carried her on her back like a child. The statuette was a pledge of marriage and represented the unborn child.
