Le sculpteur a su donner, en jouant avec la sym\u00e9trie des deux corps, l\u2019un l\u00e9g\u00e8rement pench\u00e9 en avant, l\u2019autre rejet\u00e9 en arri\u00e8re dans la suite des jambes de la m\u00e8re, un bel \u00e9quilibre \u00e0 l\u2019ensemble. \u00a0La sculpture se distingue par la superbe fluidit\u00e9 de ses lignes.\u00a0 La m\u00e8re a la t\u00eate ras\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;exception d&rsquo;une couronne de cheveux qu&rsquo;elle porte en plateau au sommet du cr\u00e2ne. Le visage est empreint d\u2019une expression sereine.\u00a0 Cette statuette appartenait \u00e0 un gu\u00e9risseur et \u00e9tait manipul\u00e9e lors des rituels afin de favoriser la f\u00e9condit\u00e9 des femmes.\u00a0 L\u2019ensemble est recouvert d\u2019une belle patine noire\/brune brillante.<\/p>\n<p>Publi\u00e9e dans <strong><em>Sculptures des Trois Volta<\/em><\/strong> G.
