Flute / whistle Nuna, Burkina Faso
300€
A very beautiful, abstract, tapered flute accentuated by the deep notch mouthpiece and a series of horizontal grooves.
The body of the instrument is hollow and a hole in the base sets the tone lower when plugged with your finger. Two other side holes in the bulge of the instrument also allow the tone to be modulated. At the end a transverse hole to pass the fixing cord.
Dark wood with a very beautiful brown patina, shiny.
This type of whistle accompanies in particular initiation ceremonies and agrarian festivals, and is also used for hunting.
